Luxury brands from Italy such as Prada, Giorgio Armani, Gucci, a. testoni, Bulgari, Salvatore Ferragamo and Versace are a testament to the quality of Italian design. But there is another, more accessible side to Italian design that is just as appealing. The exhibition entitled “Italian Style - Dressing Home,” which opened last week at the Korea Foundation Cultural Center, aims to show some of the trends in industrial design from Italy. There are around 180 everyday pieces by 70 renowned Italian designers on display, including furniture and lights, as well as smaller pieces such as corkscrews and vases.
