Mr. Lukas Mussi, Director of the Department of International Relations, Parliament of the Republic of Austria, will visit Korea from August 29 to September 3 by invitation of the Korea Foundation.

The Department of International Relations at the Austrian Parliament is responsible for all bilateral and multilateral incoming and outgoing international meetings/events (bilateral contacts, inter-parliamentary conferences, meetings within the framework of international organizations and at the European Union). And Mr. Mussi was in charge of the Department when Korean Assembly members, the Honorary Park Jin, Park Geun-hye and Kim Hyung-O and their delegation officially visited Austria.

Next year, Korea and Austria will celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations. And through his visit, it is hoped that Austria’s understanding about Korea will be enhanced, and that cooperation in the parliamentary field will become even more fruitful. 

During his stay, Mr. Mussi will meet with his counterparts at the National Assembly Secretariat, the Presidential Council on Nation Branding, the Grand National Party, the Korea-Austria Association and so on. He will also visit the Cheonggyecheon, the Gwanghwamun area, Panmunjeom & the DMZ and Gyeongju Cultural Sites for a first-hand opportunity to appreciate Korea’s past and present.
