KF ASEAN Culture House Photo Contest “ASEAN in Korea, Korea in ASEAN”

The ASEAN Culture House is holding an online photo contest titled “ASEAN in Korea, Korea in ASEAN.”

1. Overview

ο Theme
- Photos that capture the cultural elements of each ASEAN country found in Korean society
  (e.g. people, food, art, etc.)
- Photos that capture cultural elements of Korea found in ASEAN countries
- Photos that capture interactions and exchanges between Korea and ASEAN
ο Category: Photography
ο Eligibility: Anyone interested in Korea and ASEAN (open to both Koreans and foreign nationals)

2. Schedule

ο Application Period: May 1 - 27, 2018
ο Winner Announcement: June 2018
ο Exhibition of Winning Entries: June 12 -24 , 2018
ο Award Ceremony: Saturday, June 16, 2018

3. Submission Guidelines

ο Upload your photo on the competition’s official website

ο Format
- Resolution: 1200x1600 or higher. Maximum file size: 30MB. Format: JPG.
- Edited photos and photo collages are ineligible for this contest.
- Photos must be submitted as files. If you shoot on film, please upload a scanned copy of your photo.

4. Evaluation Criteria

ο Appropriateness of the theme, applicability, creativity, aesthetics
    * In-depth review by panel of experts

5. Prizes

* The types of souvenirs for winners of the Outstanding Photo Award will be decided at a later point in time.

7. Things to keep in mind

ο Applicants must hold the intellectual property rights of their submitted work, and shall take full legal responsibility for any issues arising from their publication.
ο Contest winners shall grant the ASEAN Culture House the exclusive rights to their selected photographs for use in ACH programs (production, copy, distribution, etc.).
ο Prize money is subject to applicable taxes.
