  • Date May 16, 2022

The Korea Foundation and the British Council are pleased to announce the launch of a UK-Korea Creative Commission exploring climate change through art, science and digital technology.

For your reference, please find information about the call below:

The Korea Foundation and the British Council are inviting applications for a creative commission which will bring together art, science and digital technology and offer innovative, interdisciplinary and collaborative responses to climate change. We relaunch the UK-Korea Creative Commissions, which began in line with the 2021 P4G (Partnering for Green Growth and Global Goal 2030) Seoul Summit and the United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) held in 2021, to expand and strengthen collaboration between the two countries.

We are inviting joint applications from individuals and organisations in the UK and Korea. We are looking to support one project and you can apply for up to ₩70,000,000 to realise your creative idea. We want these commissions to stimulate conversations and connections between the UK and Korea, bringing together people, cultures and communities to understand each other’s perspectives and collaborate on creative responses and solutions towards climate change.

Please read full details about the call and who can apply in the Briefing document. For more detailed information, please also see responses to frequently asked questions.

This call is open for applications until GMT 10.00 (KST 18.00) Friday 17 June 2022.
