Prof. Sui Guangjun, President, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, PRC, will visit Korea from May 30 to June 3 by invitation of the Korea Foundation.
Professor Guangjun established the Korean Language Department in the University, for the first time in Guangdong province, contributing significantly to promoting a better understanding and appreciation of Korea among the people of China.
During his stay, Prof. Guangjun will meet the president of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Ewha Womans University and Sungshin Women’s University to discuss ways to promote academic cooperation between Korea and China. He will also visit the National Institute of the Korean Language and the Academy of Korean Studies to share opinions on how to develop Korean studies in China. He will also have a chance to experience diverse aspects of Korea by visiting historical and cultural sites in Seoul.
Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) is one of the prestigious universities in China which specializes in international studies, and which is recognized as one of the key institutions of higher learning in South China’s Guangdong Province. The University was established in June 1995 through a merger of the Guangzhou Institute of Foreign Languages and the Guangzhou Institute of Foreign Trade.
