History of Korea via Pop Dance in Bahrain

On July 15 and 16, the modern history of Korea will be presented through dance performances in Bahrain.

Jointly organized by the KF and the Korean Embassy in Bahrain, the event “Korean History through Dancing” will present scenes from the March First Independence Movement of 1919; the national liberation on August 15, 1945; the Korean War (1950–53); the 1988 Seoul Summer Olympics; and the 2002 FIFA World Cup through youth performing arts like b-boying, rap, beatbox, K-pop, hip-hop dance, and waacking. Who says presenting history has to be stiff and boring? This exciting but informative show will have Bahrainis on the edge of their seats while raising their interest in and understanding of Korean history.
