[Review] Second KF Korea Workshop
On October 7–8, the KF conducted the second Korea Workshop at the Goseong DMZ area, under the theme “Thinking of Unification at the Site of Division.” The workshop comprised lectures by Korean specialists in unification diplomacy and national security as well as panel discussions featuring North Korean defectors. The 40 international participants, who included students, diplomats, and professors from 19 countries, joined with Korean students and experts of various disciplines in touring historical sites in the Goseong area, including the Inter-Korean Transit Center, the Unification Observatory, and Hwajinpo Castle.
The attendees exchanged opinions and thoroughly discussed the vision of Korea’s reunification and the global community’s cooperative efforts to realize this process. The KF intends to organize additional workshops as a means to inspire people from around the world to discuss Korean unification and to foster international support.
