Korea-China-Japan Conference: Trump’s America and Asia’s Contested Order From May 12-13, the KF and the Korean Association of International Studies will jointly hold a regional conference entitled “The Korea-China-Japan Conference: Trump’s America and Asia’s Contested Order” at Hanyang University in Seoul. Twenty-eight top specialists in their respective fields will be invited from the three East Asian countries as well as the United States and Russia to discuss the prerequisites of opening up a new era of cooperation in the region and ways to deal with mutual problems. This year’s conference, which is a follow-up to the first conference held last year, is expected to maintain and further the cooperative spirit d by the Korea-China-Japan Summit, which was resumed in 2015 under Korea’s initiative. It is also hoped that the conference will serve as a stepping stone for Korea to promote its national interests and exercise leadership as a regional mediator for prosperity in the Korean peninsula and Northeast Asia.
