2018 Korean Art Workshop for Doctoral Students

The KF Korean Art Workshop will be held for overseas doctoral students on July 15–22 in Seoul and provinces.
  The KF has hosted workshops for curators at foreign museums annually since 1999, and since the inaugural workshop, the backgrounds of the participants have diversified amid increasing interest in Korean art abroad. The July workshop is designed to meet the needs of doctoral students who will work as museum curators in the future.
  Under the theme of “Art of the Joseon Dynasty,” the event will host a score of students studying Korean or East Asian arts at foreign institutions. To expand and deepen overall understanding of Korean art in the international community, the workshop has opened its doors to scholars of Chinese and Japanese art who are also interested in Korean art. The participants will attend lectures by distinguished Korean scholars on Joseon painting, ceramics, and architecture and take part in field trips to related sites.
