Next Generation Policy Experts from Johns Hopkins SAIS Visit Korea
The Korea Foundation invited 38 graduate students and faculty members of the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) to Korea from March 19 through 23, 2018 under its Next Generation Policy Experts program.

The program was conducted in conjunction with International Staff Ride (ISR) of Johns Hopkins SAIS, a strategic studies program in which a select group of students and faculty members conduct an annual study trip abroad. The graduate students selected for the program engaged in discussion on the policy-making process in the Korean War and other related issues.

During their stay in Korea, the participants were able to visit numerous sites related to the Korean War, including the National Cemetery, the War Memorial of Korea and the Unification Observatory. They also paid visits to Cheongwadae, also known as the Blue House, and the U.S. military base in Yongsan, where they learned more about not only the history of the Korean War but also security on the Korean Peninsula.
