During the period of March 17-22, 2014, the Korea Foundation will welcome 20 influential figures from abroad, related to the areas of society, culture, and athletics. The notable visitors include Tomas Calvo Mateo, supreme leader of the Maya people of Guatemala; Wenjie Lei, Director General of Hubei Provincial Cultural Department in China, Mohammed Saleh Abdulrahman Asousi Director of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters of Kuwait, Ranjit Kumar Biswas, Secretary for Ministry of Cultural Affairs in Bangladesh. During their stay in Korea, these individuals will visit leading Korean institutions related to the arts and culture, meet with Korea's prominent cultural figures and trendsetters in various fields to share information on areas of mutual interest, and discuss ways to expand cooperation and international exchange between Korea and their home countries.
