The first session of "Meeting the World in Korea" was held at the Happy Area Children’s Center. After learning about the holidays and festivals of India and China, the student participants had a chance to taste the foods of both countries and try on traditional attire. The event was all the more meaningful because the students were able to learn about the cultures of their classmates who are from multiethnic families. Zhang Xinxin, a member of the event planning team, said it was gratifying to see the children having such a good time as they tried on the traditional Chinese clothing in order to learn about Chinese culture.
