Korean University Students to Visit Japan In conjunction with the Korea-Japan Youth Exchange Program, a delegation of 28 Korean university students is scheduled to visit Tokyo and Wakayama Prefecture in Japan on September 20–29. During their visit, the students will call on Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Korean embassy, in addition to engaging in cultural exchange with local students from Tokyo-based universities. The group will also participate in the “Korea-Japan Festival” in Tokyo in an effort to introduce aspects of Korean culture, such as hanbok and hanji handicrafts, to local residents. To enhance their personal understanding of Japan and its people, the students will spend two days with a Japanese family as part of a homestay program.
