As part of the KF’s project for future-oriented Korea-Vietnam exchange, Secretary Đinh La Thăng of the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has been invited to visit Korea from September 8–14. Formerly the Vietnamese Minister of Transport, Secretary Thăng assumed his current role in February and intends to follow Busan’s development model to bring prosperity to Ho Chi Minh City. Secretary Thăng will visit the local governments of Seoul, Busan, Andong, and other municipalities to explore the potential for economic cooperation between those metropolises and Ho Chi Minh City.
