On August 5, 2016, as one of its public diplomacy initiatives, the KF hosted a launch ceremony for its fifth group of Korea Foundation Global Futurist (KFGF) students at the KF Global Center. Established in 2012, the KFGF is composed of university student volunteers who support the Foundation’s activities. This year’s students, the fifth KFGF group, will now participate in social media campaigns, event monitoring, and a variety of promotional efforts on behalf of the KF through the remainder of this year.
  After welcoming remarks from KF President Sihyung Lee, the students of the fifth KFGF group were briefed on the Foundation and its key events during the latter half of 2016. The newly appointed students were joined by outstanding students selected from the fourth KFGF group, who shared their experiences from last year and provided useful information and tips to boost the effectiveness of promotional campaigns, along with words of encouragement.
  The program included an orientation session to outline the planning activities needed to implement the upcoming promotional events and projects. The students formed 10 working groups, which discussed their objectives and plans for 2016, based on cooperative teamwork.
  A promotional group that comprises 50 student volunteers selected from across the country, the fifth KFGF group is prepared to help implement the KF’s promotional campaigns and projects during the second half of 2016. We look forward to witnessing the vibrant and vigorous efforts of the fifth KFGF group.
