Hanuri, the mascot celebrating the 30th anniversary of the KF’s
founding
From October 28 to 31, the fourth Public Diplomacy Week, organized by
the KF and supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, took place at
Dongdaemun Design Plaza as well as online at
www.pdweek.or.kr.
The event addressed the theme of “Our Future through Public Diplomacy”
with the aim of bringing public diplomacy closer to citizens. Through
80 programs presented on- and offline in cooperation with over 60
organizations in 47 countries, the week featured diverse public
diplomacy activities.
Additionally, a mini exhibition celebrating the 30th anniversary of
the KF’s founding was held and Hanuri, the KF’s special anniversary
mascot, was introduced as part of the Public Diplomacy Exploration
event. Using the metaverse and other interactive media, the week
provided audiovisual and in-person experiences to participants of
various age groups. The Public Diplomacy Rhapsody and a performance by
the Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team were also broadcast live
online.
The KF expresses its deep appreciation for everyone who contributed to
making the fourth Public Diplomacy Week safe amid the COVID-19
pandemic. Though the offline events have ended, the week’s online
programs will remain open for public access on the digital platform
www.pdweek.or.kr. Interest in these online services is greatly welcomed.
