Australia–Korea Future Forum in Canberra

On September 11, the KF and the Australia-Korea Foundation will jointly host the second Australia–Korea Future Forum in Canberra. The forum, launched in December 2021 after a bilateral summit of the two countries’ presidents, aims to be a high-level channel of dialogue. It is based on a memorandum of understanding on socio-cultural cooperation signed between the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

The forum will comprise three sessions and a luncheon speech focusing on methods for promoting bilateral cooperation for security and strategy, economic security, and joint efforts to address climate change. Attended by over 30 dignitaries from the two countries, the forum will also facilitate discussions on how to enhance future-oriented cooperation as well as other topics of common interest.
