KF Global Challengers Left for Training in the US

On August 19, a group of 40 participants of the KF’s 2023 Global Challengers Academy left for the United States for education and training. From August 22 through December 8, they will take part in the University of Missouri’s Lead, Engage, Advance and Discover (LEAD) program to enhance their English fluency and understanding of American culture.

The participants are from 31 colleges and universities in 13 cities across Korea. On June 26, participants began eight weeks of online education, and in mid-July, they also completed a five-day group training at the global campus of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.

While in the United States, the collegians will go on field trips to New York and Los Angeles to increase their leadership skills and intercultural acuity as global citizens. Let’s hope they will return to Korea with greater confidence and competence in December!
