KF Supports Contemporary Ceramics Exhibition ‘Self-Medication: Korean Ceramic Art’

From October 4, 2023, to January 21, 2024, the Self-Medication: Korean Ceramic Art exhibition will be held at the Latvian Centre for Contemporary Ceramics in Daugavpils, Latvia, with the KF’s support. This exhibition takes place within the framework of the Latvian Ceramics Biennale.

Additionally, it was organized by the Korea Ceramic Foundation under the joint auspices of the Latvian Centre for Contemporary Ceramics and the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design in Riga.

On display will be a total of 55 works by 16 artists, including Kim Yik-yung who is widely respected as the pioneer of Korean contemporary ceramic art. The exhibition is expected to provide a look back upon the origin and growth of Korean ceramic art, as well as explore the future potential and value of Korean contemporary ceramics.
