K-Book Festival 2021 in Japan: Artist Talk with Lang Lee
Japanese public interest in Korean literature is growing markedly
these days. Since its inaugural event two years ago, the comprehensive
K-Book Festival has introduced modern Korean literature, picture
books, and humanities publications while presenting talks with Korean
writers and performances by Korean artists.
As part of the 2021 K-Book Festival, which will be held online for six
days starting on November 16, the KF will host a mini concert and talk
featuring Korean singer-songwriter Lang Lee, who is well-known in
Japan as a writer.
Lee will sing three songs including “Imjingang,” which is popular in
Japan, and speak with Japanese film director Yuko Nakamura on the
theme of “Now, How Are You,” discussing how they have been faring in
the COVID-19 pandemic and their perceived national differences related
to several social issues. The talk will be made available on the
KF YouTube channel
and the K-Book Festival YouTube channel on November 20.
