19th Korean-German Forum & 9th Korean-German Junior Forum
From November 3 to 6, the 19th Korean-German Forum will be held at the
Grand Hyatt Seoul in Korea to seek ways of promoting bilateral
cooperation between Germany and Korea. The forum will address such
global issues as the COVID-19 pandemic, carbon neutrality, and various
other topics related to politics, gender and generational problems,
and digitalization.
A non-governmental consultative organization joined by prominent
figures from political, economic, social, and cultural fields, the
forum was launched in Seoul in 2002 and has held annual meetings in
Germany and Korea on an alternating basis. This year, the meeting will
be held in person in Seoul, attended by delegations from both
countries in strict observance of quarantine measures to prevent the
spread of COVID-19.
Alongside the forum, the 9th Korean-German Junior Forum will also be
held, attended by over 40 young leaders from both countries. The forum
will facilitate energetic discussions of such topics as education,
digitalization, climate, enterprises, and the economic growth of the
two nations. It is hoped that the two forums will contribute to
expanding the substantial, future-oriented development of
Korean-German bilateral relations.
